Your First Visit

Welcome to all of our new patients. If this is your first visit, we suggest that you plan to arrive about 10 minutes before your appointment to complete our acquaintance form. Alternatively, please click here to print the form and complete in advance of your appointment. All of your information will remain confidential.

For a dental emergency requiring immediate attention, please advise us when you make your appointment so we can schedule your treatment appropriately.

Your examination will include:

  • A comprehensive discussion of your dental concerns, as well as your dental and medical history.
  • A thorough examination of your teeth and gums.
  • Possible x-rays using digital radiography. Our cone scanner uses up to 80% less radiation than traditional x-rays. The x-ray allows us to check between your teeth and under old fillings for signs of decay and disease. It also helps us detect early stages of gum disease.
  • Where relevant, we may use an intra oral camera (tooth camera) to take digital photographs of significant features inside your mouth.
  • Cosmetic evaluation of your smile using digital photographs may also be conducted.
  • Where relevant, we may make study models of your teeth to look at how they relate to each other.

Examinations will take place to prepare a personalised treatment plan to address your dental concerns. We will give you a document with all details, including the type of treatment proposed, the fee and the time required to complete your dental treatment. Before we conduct any dental treatment, we will talk with you to ensure you have a full understanding of the need, cost and treatment alternatives.
