Veneers in Randwick, NSW

Do you have shortened, worn, stained or mismatched teeth? Do you have a gap or uneven spacing that makes you feel self-conscious about your smile? If you have mild misalignment but wish to avoid braces, we offer a convenient and stunning treatment option.

Porcelain veneers are one of the most versatile ways to address a number of cosmetic concerns with one procedure. Veneers are thin, durable tooth-coloured restorations that fit directly on the front of teeth to cover any number of aesthetic concerns.

Are Porcelain Veneers Right for You?

Woman | Dental Veneers in Randwick NSW As with all cosmetic dentistry, healthy gums are essential to the success of your treatment. We will evaluate your periodontal health and how your teeth come together and then treat any underlying concerns, such as decay, to give you the best results.

Veneers work well for people who wish to improve their smiles while retaining their natural tooth structure. Individuals with worn, chipped and damaged teeth make excellent candidates for porcelain veneers because they not only correct the appearance of teeth but also add length and restore the natural-looking shape of an ideal smile.

The Veneer Procedure

The successful process of porcelain veneers comes down to proper planning. Dr Andrew Dunn will evaluate your bite, facial structure, colouring and smile shape to ensure that your results look completely natural. You never have to worry about false-looking veneers. You will have an opportunity to discuss your ideal shade and the number of veneers needed so that your results are exactly what you want.

Dr Dunn will prepare the surfaces of your teeth to create adequate space for the porcelain veneers.  Accurate 3-D digital images will be taken.

To protect your teeth, Dr Dunn will place temporary veneers on your teeth until your final porcelain veneers are ready. Once your veneers are ready, usually between one and seven days later, your veneers will be cemented.

How to Care for Porcelain Veneers

Practising proper oral hygiene is an essential part of extending the longevity of your new smile:

  • Brush and floss regularly
  • Maintain dental exams and cleanings
  • Avoid biting into anything excessively hard

If you have bruxism, a clenching and grinding habit, we may recommend a night guard to prevent popping off veneers or chipping them while you sleep.
